Carmona microphylla, commonly known as Fukien (Fujian) Tea tree, is originally from regions like Japan, Indonesia, Taiwan, and Australia. They get the name from the Fujian province of China. It is a popular choice for Penjing in China and is commonly grown as an indoor bonsai in many western countries.
While typically kept indoors, the Fukien Tea can also be grown outdoors in very warm climates. It needs plenty of natural sunlight, so placing it near a well-lit window is ideal. This tree thrives at temperatures around 70°F and should be protected from colder conditions
